The Family Story
Our family story started several years back when my beloved mother was a nurse in the late 1940's in England. Doctors would have their nurses prepare a formulated ointment to dress our wounded war hero's who suffered greatly on the battle fields. Imagine the horrible results of war from being engaged in battle for a moment. Volunteer men and woman soldiers suffered beyond what we can't even imagine today or understand from those old days.
My mother Winnifred Ward served as a field nurse in the late 1940's and followed the instructions of Doctors and Pharmacists who would make an order for their patients with a preparation comforting ointment.
It was commonly known as the Butt Cream
Skin-E-dip became the basis of that war time formula and is where it all began. Over time it has however been perfected and improved with the help and feedback given to us by customers and medical professionals like you. We thank you and are very grateful for the feedback and guidance through the process of bringing our high quality skin ointment to our customers.
Our aim to find a simple solution to the many skin problems we encounter on our day to day journey, cuts, burns, scratches, rough bumpy skin, itchy rashes, sunburns, minor eczema, psoriasis and so many other skin discomforts. Skin-e-Dip has been in our family for four generations and strong enough to handle all our skin care demands along the way. It's always in constant use and constantly to the rescue for many skin discomforts or irritated sore skin issues. Comforting and soothing relief at last and you won't find anything as special anywhere. It's our guarantee.
Skin-e-Dip is an old fashioned formula that had been around a good long time and until mom brought to life at home in our very own kitchen. It would not have evolved into a major market player in skin health care if not for her. It all began when my daughter was just a few months old and developed really dry flakey skin on every part of her tiny body. It was ugly and she was always in discomfort from serious itch and redness.The Doctor diagnosed her with infant eczema when she was just three months old. It with a horrible to see her suffer with this unsightly skin affliction. So much of her suffering was with the scratching and itching to a point were she would constantly cry. Her wrists, ankles hands and scalp were the worst areas with dry itchy patches. If not covered up she would scratch herself until she bled most of the night. At night time we made her wear makeshift mittens so she would stop during sleep. Something had to be done and done quickly.
I didn't feel comfortable with prescription creams at so young an age so I asked my mother about the ointment she prepared as a nurse in England. Would it help? She know a lot about medicine and years of experience with us as kids. It was a desperate act to find any alternative to help her with this debilitating affliction. Very quickly we had started what she could remember of the formula and so began our journey. To get measurements just right she could only really remember making it in big batches. Our journey started and we made a ton of it. Our homemade ointment was handed out to friends and neighbours or just about anyone who needed of it over the years. My daughter was treated and within just a short few days she had softer smoother clearer skin and was 100% better. Her skin appearance went from rough dry flakey to a smooth soft skin feel and look again. It had healed almost overnight and after a few applications we could stop using the gloves at night and was sleeping much better. Our community of friends and neighbours spoke out on how it had helped them too for various things like haemorrhoid relief cold sores and diaper rash. Well we were amazed at the communities feedback after several of our friends and neighbours providing testimonial for eczema, psoriasis relief, haemorrhoids, dog hot spots and various other conditions we thought this needs to be brought forward for everyone to use and so began our journey. BTW it also has no expiry due to the base USP Jelly compound sealing up all other ingredients from spoiling.
We needed a catchy name that people would remember and so my mother Wyn assigned it it's name and we called it Skin-E-Dip. Skin care with Vitamin E so you can dip into when and where you like.
My mother's formula has become a family goto favourite and appeared at local Flea and Farmers Markets you may have attended in your community. Skin-e-Dip has been around awhile and with the feedback we received from customers like you persuaded us to continue to go even farther. Sure we have had lots of bumps along the way to today but believe strongly that it can go even farther.
Loyal customers cannot be with out it and we received thousands of very promising stories on a regular basis.
We simply wouldn't be without it. My dear mother was where it all began and although she has passed I continue to produce this in honour of her name and her efforts as a nurse during the second world war.
